Sounds Of Sasaab, a project that took 2 years, countless hours and the help of such important communities and establishments, is finally out - and we couldn't be happier with the results. The VA saw several tracks hit the top charts across the world, our launch event was a success and the documentary has been well received. A classroom is underway in Samburu and we will be posting updates of that along the way.

To clarify some concerns we were approached with regarding culture protection, royalty share and copyright, please see the statement below:
"The Samburu community will receive a majority royalty percentage from every aspect of the project, including the music, events, merchandise and any other potential revenue streams. Before we started the project, the community elders advised us that a classroom in a primary school would be most beneficial to put funds raised towards. Any surpass of the classroom target will go towards a teachers fund for that area and continue to assist with educational infrastructure. The objective of this project is to prove that traditional music can still add value to the people who maintain their culture"
We would like to take the time to thank everyone involved, most importantly, the Samburu Westgate Community, as well as;
Our record label partner Madorasindahouse, for all their hard work in shaping the massive VA, incorporating this release in their catalogue and much more.
Our video partner Backdrop Productions for creating a visual masterpiece to highlight this project.
Our hospitality partner Sasaab Lodge for hosting us and connecting us to the community you share such special relation with.
Bunson, Tribe Hotel, Mookh, Alchemist and Sandstorm for every bit of help in the recording part and the launch event.
And to everyone who listened to the VA, watched the documentary and attended the event.
We couldn't have done it without you.
